    Two back-to-back draws from the Express Entry invited 11,000 candidates in a week. The update seems that the New Year brings a bunch of positive news for the candidates who are looking to migrate to Canada. As per the latest update, Canada Express Entry declared the second consecutive draw on January 18, 2023. The latest draw yet again invited 5500 candidates and most importantly, the draw cut-off drastically goes down by 17 points. It seems that Canadian Immigration may cover the December month’s gap in January month and it is not wrong to predict that there is likely a chance that the third draw of the month may come soon.

    Highlights of the Latest Express Entry Draw #238

    • The latest Express Entry draw #238 announced on January 18, 2023. The draw has nominated 5500 candidates form all the programs.
    • The draw CRS (Comprehensive Ranking Score) declared at 490 points, which is 17 points down than previous #237 Express Entry Draw.
    • This update gives a sense of satisfaction to many candidates who are looking to Move to Canada as a permanent resident.
    • From both draws, the government has already invited 11,000 candidates, which is a great sign for Canadian immigration.
    • This is not usual that Express Entry declared continues draws within a week. As per the analysis, this draw came to cover the deficit of December month.
    • Secondly, there was no single draw declared in December 2022 due to some technical glitch occur because system has not adopted the changes of the latest TEER system.
    • In addition, the first draw of the year has nominated most of the candidates from Provincial Nominee Program and Canadian Experience Class.

    • The last draw held on January 11, 2023, that has cut-off of 507 and latest one held at 490 points.
    • The number tells the story of exceptionally downfall of CRS. On January 11, nearly 3900 candidates were between 501 to 600 CRS and with the latest draw 50% of candidates invited until the latest draw with 1918.
    • On the other side, almost 300 candidates increased between the two dates. The figure is also indicating that the next may goes down by 2 to 5 points, if Canada would like to invite the same number candidates.
    • Moreover, as per the total numbers, there are more than 3000 candidates decreased in the latest draw. This is also a good sign that Canada government targeting to invite more and more candidates.

    Certainly, this number brings a constructive change in upcoming time of Canada Immigration. If the changes will remain, continue then it may invite a huge number of candidates in next six months. However, the only challenge is increasing number of express entry profiles in the pool. Therefore, if you are a candidate and wish for Canada PR then you should try to enhance your CRS score up to 460 to 470 at least. Because this range of CRS may not give the direct Federal nomination but it likely to bring the Provincial Nomination from the provinces like Alberta, Ontario and Nova Scotia.
