Western Australia has Made Certain Program Changes for the Year 2022-23

Some important changes have been made by Western Australia in their 2022-23 program. As per the changes, now overseas applicants will also be considered for Western Australia (WA) State nomination. Additionally, more than 300 occupations are now open for the Graduate stream. The important aspects of the recent changes are given below.

Highlights of Western Australia’s Recent Changes

• As a part of one of the important updates now overseas applicants will also be eligible to receive the state nomination from Western Australia (WA).
• The nomination will be based on the ranking system. However, the ranking system will give priority to those candidates who are currently residing in WA. Then those applicants will be considered who are residing in other parts of Australia. Finally, overseas aspirants will be into consideration.
• In addition, along with the overseas candidates, Western Australia 2022-23 program year has given an opportunity to the Graduate Stream holders as well.
• As per the update, more than 300 occupations become available to the Graduate Stream holders.
• This updated occupation list is available under the WA’s skilled migration occupation list – schedules 1 and 2 and the Graduate Occupation List.
• However, the invitation to apply for the state nomination will not start until the 2022-223 program year for this new Graduate Occupation List.

For both kinds of candidates Subclass 190 Skilled Nominated Visa and Subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visas are eligible.
