Highlights of the Latest Express Entry Draw

    • New month new draw but nothing changes in terms of invitations. The draw invited the same number of candidates as compared to the last draw.
    • As per the June 2nd announcement, something unique is expected to happen in this draw but IRCC held yet another No Program Specified draw.
    • This No Program Specified draw considered the candidates from the Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Trades and Provincial Nominee Program.
    • The only thing that is changed is the CRS cut-off. The CRS cut-off has been reduced by just two points and stopped at 486 points.
    • The Tie-breaking rule is applicable for the draw is May 19, 2023, 14:04:00 UTC.

    Conclusion

As per the analysis of the above give given tables, a few points certainly come into the mind of many people. Such as, whether Canada is seriously looking to invite migrants on permanent residency or just announcing draws in a sack clearing the applications backlogs. On one note the IRCC announced that they will now accept 4 new languages for Student Direct Stream (SDS). It indicates that Canada is eagerly looking to invite a huge number of international students. On the other side, constantly increasing CRS score demotivates plenty of applicants who are looking to apply for Canada PR. For instance, a 28-year-old single candidate who has done his Master, and achieve CLB 10 in the English language by having more than 3 years of experience makes his profile in Express Entry still manages to reach only 481 points. It means, despite having a so-called strong profile, a candidate is far behind the direct nomination from the Federal Skilled Worker Program as per the recent past draws.
