The UK is providing the platform for a certain university graduate to come to the UK for two years. The High Potential Individual visa provides work visas to potential graduates. The visa will be eligible for two years and during the tenure, the visa holder can stay and work legally.
High Potential Individual (HPI) Visa
This visa type allows recent graduates from the top global universities to come stay and look for work in the UK. The particular program has initiated form 30 May 2022. The program has nominated some specific top global universities and each year they are going to update the list. The list has elected from the global universities alliance as well as some bilateral agreement holder countries.
Eligibility Criteria for High Potential Individual Visa
Here are the basic eligibility criteria for the High Potential Individual Visa. Candidates need to fulfil the given below conditions to apply.
- As a candidate, the age should be more than 18 years.
- Your overseas degree must take within the last five years. Moreover, your academic qualification must be from an institute that appears on the Global Universities List.
- Moreover, you need to prove your English language proficiency level. As a candidate, you must have to achieve at least level B1 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) scale. These listed tests need to appear to apply for further visa process.
- Secure English Language Test (SELT)
- GCSE, A level, Scottish National Qualification level 4 or 5 (studied at the UK school while having age under 18 years)
- A degree should teach in the English language if a candidate has studied outside of the UK. As per the conditions, the UK allows these listed countries’ degrees for the particular visa type.

- Being a candidate, you should have enough financial support to help you to survive while in the UK.
- As per the requirement, candidates are required to show the cash-funds of at least £1,270. The fund must maintain for at least 28 consecutive days ending not more than 31 days before the application will be submitted.
- If you are moving to the UK on another visa category then you may also have a chance to extend your stay by the High Potential Individual Visa route. However, you may not eligible to select the route if you have or were granted a Visitor, Short-term student, Parent of a Child Student, Seasonal Worker, or Domestic Worker in a Private Household visa.
- One of the important things is duration, which depends on the degree that you have achieved from the Global Universities List.
- You may opt further settlement option as well. However, you cannot extend the particular program visa but you can apply for another UK immigration route.
- You may also bring a dependent spouse on the High Potential Individual Visa. As per the rules, the joined or accompanied by a dependent the spouse age should be over 18 years. On the other end, children should be under the age of 18 years.
