Updated Occupation Ceilings for Migration Year 2020-21

Under the independent, skilled regional (provisional) visas an ‘occupation ceiling’ may be applied to issue the invitations which mean there is a limit of how many invitations can be issued for skilled migration from a particular occupation group, whereas it has also considered that once the limit has reached then there will be no further invitations for the particular occupation group for that program year. However, it also has indicated that the Skilled Migration Program is not subject to the small number of occupations, the invitation will be allocated to the desire aspirants even from the other occupation groups though their ranking is lower.

The table below shows the occupation ceilings for the 2020-2021 program year for each occupation on the list of eligible skilled occupations by the ANZSCO code unit group.
