    OINP Announces Back-to-Back draw, Invited 815 Tech Professionals

    Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) declare a back-to-back draw. The first draw was held on March 09, 2023. Whereas, the second one was announced on March 10, 2023. The draw invited 815 tech professionals with a CRS Score range of 479-489 points. Both of the draws were declared under the Human Capital Priorities Stream.

    Highlights of the Latest OINP Draw

    • After announcing the last healthcare occupation-oriented draw, the province announced the second consecutive draw for the tech occupations on 10th March.
    • Just like on March 9, 2023‘s healthcare occupations draw the current draw follows a similar pattern and declared tech occupation-specific draw.
    • A total of 815 tech professionals have got a chance to apply for Canada permanent residency.
    • The cut-off of the draw is announced between 479 to 489 CRS points.
    • On the other end, the previous draw under the same stream was held on February 02, 2023. However, that was the combination of healthcare and tech occupations that invited only 53 candidates.
    • In comparison, the previous draw’s cut-off was 481-489 points. whereas, this draw’s cut-off is 479-489 points. Two points have been reduced due to the February 2, 2023’s Federal Skilled Worker draw.
    • The two points difference made a huge difference in the invitation to apply. Where a combination of both occupational categories invited only 53 candidates, the latest tech occupation-based draw only nominated 800+ immigrants.

    Conclusion

    Compared to the previous year 2022, this year Ontario province seems aggressive in declaring the draws. During the same period in the last year, the province declared a single tech occupation draw and which invited 622 tech professionals. Whereas, this year until now the province already nominated 1942, tech skilled workers. If you are an IT professional and would like to move to Canada then you must target Ontario province.
