    Victoria’s Skilled Visa Nomination Program Subclass 190 And 491 Reopens On 5 January 2021

    Subclass 190 & 491 is reopening by Victoria’s state under the skilled visa nomination program for the year 2020-21 at 10 am AEDT on Tuesday, 5 January 2021.

    The purpose of the government for reopening the program is to focus on the health responses of their citizens and the economy recovery of the state. The Victorian Government has got the place of visa nomination as a part of the interim program by The Commonwealth Department of Home Affairs.

    Steps for ROI (Registration of Interest) for Victoria visa nomination.

    First of all, candidates must need to register their interest on live in Melbourne and then they need to be nominated for Victorian Visa Nomination
    Secondly, those candidates who already submitted their ROIs during the interim program do not need to resubmit it again. Pre-submitted ROIs will be considered for them.

    Submission Windows

    • The government is accepting the ROIs through submission windows. There is a timeframe in which candidates can submit their ROIs. During the period, if submission windows get closed then candidates need to wait till the next submission window gets open.
    • Submission windows of ROIs are listed down by the Victorian Government for the visa nomination. That means after the submission of ROIs usually candidates may get the nomination. However, if any candidates are not getting their nomination immediately then they need to wait as their ROIs are still considered for future nomination.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • There are some significate changes made by the government in both the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) and Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) (subclass 491). That means candidates must need to read and understand the requirements carefully before submitting their ROIs.
    • Candidates must need to meet the below given criteria of the Victorian Skilled Visa nomination to be eligible for the selection.
    Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) SUBCLASS 491 Skilled Nominated visa SUBCLASS 190
    Candidate must be living in Regional areas of Victoria. Candidate must be living in Victoria.
    From the at least 3 months candidate must be working in the Regional areas of Victoria. From the at least 6 months candidate must be working in Victoria.
    Candidates must be working in the highly skilled occupations which supports Victoria’s economic recovery
    and/or health response. Such as health sector, medical & research, life science sector, agri-food,
    digital sector.
