Canada Immigration – Last Week’s Draws Review

After the pandemic Provincial Nomination Programs have played a significant role in inviting a number of Migrants to Canada. In the present scenario, we are the witness of constant provincial nomination draws, even the express entry draws are declared under the province nominee program category from the last 25th of September 2021. The entire scenario indicates that if you are looking to migrate to Canada and obtain Canada Permanent Residency then you should target the provinces.

In the provincial nomination context, last week there were three Canadian provinces British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan have declared their draws and invited nearly 700 candidates. These candidates have now received the provincial nomination and as a result, some of them will get the final ITA from the Express Entry once they will submit their profiles to the province.

    Manitoba

One of the naturally rich provinces of the country, Manitoba has recently declared its first provincial nomination draw for May month. Along with British Columbia this province also frequently declares the draws and invites a good number of candidates. Moreover, it is also one of the provinces that have specially designed the draws for the affected citizens of Ukraine due to the ongoing events. These draws are considered the “Special Immigration Measure” draws. Usually, Manitoba declares the frequent general category draws each month and from March month they have started declaring special draws for Ukraine citizens. Recently, the province has declared its first general draw for May month and invited 315 candidates from their standard categories – Skilled Worker in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and Skilled Worker Overseas. Here is the brief of the latest MPNP draw.

    Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan is one of the most immigration friendly provinces because, until the last year, it is among the provinces that have invited the highest number of candidates throughout the year. However, this year the province is focusing a bit less on inviting overseas candidates due to some reasons. In comparison with the last year, until May 2022 first week the province has invited 423 candidates only. On the other end, last year until May 2021 first week the province invited 3200 candidates. According to some analysis, this year Saskatchewan might be looking for some change in SINP immigration policy and because of that, they are declaring less number of draws but also inviting less number of candidates. Additionally, since the war situation between Russia & Ukraine the province has also started declaring special draws for the Ukrainian citizens. In this round of the draw, they invited 1 Ukrainian citizen to Apply for the Canada PR through a provincial nomination. Here are the details of the latest invitation draw.
