Educational Credential Assessments for Canada – Federal Skilled Worker Program

It’s now mandatory to have your Educational Credential assessed by the Canada before you apply for your Immigration file. CIC ((Citizenship and Immigration Canada) introduce a major changes in their immigration policy which take place on 4May 2013. It is Educational Credential Assessment (ECA). If your occupation is falling in Eligible Occupations List / Priority Occupation List and you have minimum 67 pass mark with IELTS 6 Bands in each module i.e. Listing, Reading, Writing & Speaking then you need to apply for your credential assessment. If you have Canadian Educational Credentials then you don’t needs to get Educational Credential for that only. If you have other than Canadian Educational Credentials then you need to get ECA to support your application for FSWP (Federal Skilled Worker Program) for Canada.

Educational Credential Assessment Report issued after the 17 April 2013 will be accepted for the migrating to Canada. This report is valid for 5 years from the date of issue by concern authority. Applicant needs to directly contact ECA bodies for all details required to get ECA reports i.e. how to apply, application fees, processing fees and time, which documents needs to be provided and many others.

Educational Credential Assessment Report will give an overview to applicant about their education compatibility compare to Canadian Educational Credentials. Currently CIC ((Citizenship and Immigration Canada) given authority to four organization for which ECA report will consider valid. CIC will add more organization in future. # Comparative Education Service – University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies,

# International Credential Assessment Service of Canada,

# World Education Services

# Medical Council of Canada.
