Score Requirements at Sault College
Diploma Programs
- IELTS score of 6.0 with no band lower than 5.5 (One Module), with test results within the last two years.
- TOEFL – 79-80 for the Internet-based test (iBT) and no test below 20.
- Pearson Test of English (Academic), 60 or higher
- Duolingo – 95
Graduate Or Degree Programs
- IELTS score of 6.5 with no band lower than 6.0
- TOEFL – 88 for the Internet-based Test (iBT) and no test below 21.
- Pearson Test of English (Academic), 60 or higher

Backlog certificate is required from college if the student has backlogs.
Application Guidelines at Sault College
- Fresher with good academics (Close to 60 % and above) will have good chance to get admit + Visa.
- Gap in studies cannot be more than 1 year for UG and not more than 4 years for Graduates (do not submit fake experience certificate).
- Backlogs in core subjects and number of backlogs in same subject are being viewer with attention. Maximum number of 9 backlogs will be accepted. (For 12 + 4 max. 9 backlogs & for 12+3 max. 4 backlogs accepted).
- Minimum 55 % and above (higher second class) is must,
- Core subject grads should be minimum 55 % and above including Math & English
- For Medical students, marks in Biology, Physics & Chemistry should be close to 55 % or above.
- For Non-Medical students, marks in Math, Physics & Chemistry should be close to 55 % or above.
- For Commerce students, marks in Accounting, Statistics, and Business & Economics should be close to 55 % or above.

Housing:
International students can stay in the Sault College residents or choose to live off-campus. If a student chooses to live on campus, Sault College will assist the student with their application. If a student chooses to live off-campus Sault colleges provides access to housing searches and advice on convenient areas to live, in relation to both Sault College and essential shopping areas. Sault College also helps to set-up tours of houses and may advise students on appropriate housing costs for the area and type of house (Shared, Private etc.). Sault College will assist the student to find temporary housing when they first arrive, and assist them in moving into a more permanent housing option when one is found. While Sault College does not endorse individual landlords, Sault College may introduce international students to landlords who have given prior international students a positive impression.
Student Residence:
Information about the on-campus student residence may be found in the table of contents under “Residence.”
Living Expenses:
Food and housing expenses vary depending on choices and personal preference but it is recommended that students plan for living expenses of $600 – $750 per month. Bus passes are available for $160/semester. Personal and miscellaneous costs may be approximately $1,000 per year. As the winter in Sault Ste. Marie can be cold, warm clothing is a necessity.
