MITT provides secondary and post-secondary students with applied skills training for careers in Health Care and Human Services, Information and Business Technology, and Skilled Trades.
Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
International applicants:
$190 per application for Diploma/Certificate & Post-Graduate Program $380 CAD for Dual Program.
Network and Computer Technology, and Software Developer Programs: $300 per application/program (includes PAT fee).
After submission of online application and sending documents by Email MITT will assess the documents. If student will be eligible for the admission college will ask for $5,000 seat confirmation fees for Diploma or Certificate and Post Graduate programs, which will be non-refundable and non-transferable in any case other than visa refusal. With one application and seat confirmation fees one defers, and program change request can be possible.
Effective immediately, MITT will only process applications that include all information and documents required to begin the application assessment. Incomplete applications will not be processed. Having a complete application and meeting admissions requirements does not guarantee admission into MITT’s programs. Application fees are non-refundable.
MITT no longer admits international applicants on a first-completed, first-admitted basis. Due to consistently high demand for MITT’s programs, a competitive and comparative process is now used. Having a complete application and meeting admission requirements does not guarantee admission into MITT’s programs.
MITT will only process applications that include all information and documents required to begin the application assessment. Incomplete applications will not be processed. Applicants will receive an email indicating their application was incomplete and they can apply to a future intake, if they wish. Other examples of incomplete applications are: –
Original or notarized copies only, accompanied by a notarized or certified English translation. Self translations or translations done by an individual or company that is not certified is not acceptable. All documents submitted become the property of MITT; applicants are encouraged to submit notarized copied of their documents, instead of originals.
Declaration of all prior post-secondary education is required, even where the prior program of study was
not completed. MITT also requires proof of English language proficiency.
Misrepresentation, falsification of documents or the withholding of requested information on the application can result in cancellation of acceptance and registration, or dismissal from MITT.
A maximum of two post-secondary program applications per applicant are permitted in a given academic year. Additional applications for the same applicant will not be processed and those application fees will not be refundable.
Where an applicant gains admission to more than one post-secondary program in the same Academic Year, they will be required to choose only one. An admission deposit paid for an offer that has already been accepted is non-refundable*. *Where an international applicant received a study permit denial, deposits may be refundable. Please see our Refund Policy for more information.
MITT’s waitlist processes have changed. If the applicant’s program of choice is full, the applicant will be placed on a waitlist until the start of the program. If a space in the program applied for does not become available by the start of the program, the application will be cancelled, and the applicant will need to re apply at a future intake.
An admitted student (who has accepted an offer of admission and had paid an admission deposit) may defer their admission one time only, to the next available intake. Deferral is possible up to 30 days before the start of the program.
International high school students studying in their final year of secondary school can apply for conditional admission after they have completed Grade 11, using their most recent interim transcript or predicted Grade 12 results. Final Grade 12 transcripts and proof of secondary school graduation will still be required. Final admission is dependent on successful completion of all Grade 12 admission requirements.
International applicants who have been admitted to a post-secondary program (have accepted an Offer of Admission and paid an admission deposit) must provide proof of a valid study permit or study visa at least 30 days before the start of the program. If a valid study permit cannot be presented by this time, applicants can request a one-time deferral to the next available intake by emailing admissions@mitt.ca (or eli@mitt.ca for English for Academic Purposes applicants). This request must be made at least 30 days prior to the start of the program.
Admission requirements are subject to change. Please ensure that you and the applicant review MITT’s program pages, Admissions steps, and our What New page is before submitting an application to make certain the applicant is interested in and qualified for their program of choice. All programs require high school graduation, and Grade 12 Math and English (or international equivalent).
