British Columbia Declared the Second Weekly Draw of the Month

British Columbia province has declared its second Weekly BCPNP draw of the Month. The latest draw has invited 160+ candidates. The draw was held for the General category. It is also considered tech-oriented occupations, early childhood and health-oriented occupations. The draw cut-off was declared in between a range of 105 to 76 points. Whereas, the occupation-specific draw was held at 60 points.

Highlights of the Latest BCPNP Draw
- The two categories of the BCPNP have declared the nomination draws and invited 160+ candidates.
- The first weekly draw was held on tech-oriented occupations. As per the hierarchy, this draw has considered general and tech occupations both.
- Apart from this, the draw has also nominated early childhood educators and health-oriented workers as well.
- The general and tech-oriented occupations draw issued the nominations letters to 155 overseas candidates.
- On the other side, 31+ invitations are issued under the targeted draw occupations.
- Whereas, 5+ candidates have received the nomination from the occupations-based draw.
Introduction of BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)
The province has introduced the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) as an economic immigration program. The purpose of the program is to attract skilled migrants and international students from across the world because the province is facing a huge labour market shortage. In addition, the province is looking to enhance skilled workers’ contribution to the economic development of the province.

Selection Criteria to Get Nominated for BCPNP
- Candidates are required to have an intermediate, full-time job offer from any British Columbian employer. OR
- Candidates must be graduated recently from any Canadian post-secondary institution and have an intermediate, full-time job offer from the provincial employer. OR
- Candidates are also eligible without the job offer, if they have completed certain postgraduate degrees from province-based universities.
- Based on the approval of your provincial nomination candidates can Apply for the Canada Permanent Residency under the Provincial Nominee Class.
