Canada Declares Latest Express Entry Draw, Invited 787 PNP Candidates

Last evening, the first Express Entry draw for April month is declared by Canada Immigration. The latest draw has nominated 787 Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) candidates. The invitation draw cut-off has declared 782 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. At a moment, this seems that the CRS score is closing with high points, but here one should need to understand that any candidates, who have received the nomination from any of the provinces will get the benefit of 600 CRS points. It means though, the recent cut-off is 782 CRS points but the actual lowest CRS was only 182 points for those PNP candidates.

Latest Express Entry Draw #220

• For the year 2022, this eighth consecutive draw under the PNP Category and the first draw of April month.
• These invited 787 candidates, who received the nomination have valid Express Entry profiles. They received the provincial nomination first and based on that the 600 CRS points have been added to their Express Entry profiles.
• The lowest-ranked invited candidates’ actual CRS score was 182 points only.
• These figures show the strength of the Provincial Nominee Program.
• It s a positive sign, though Canada has not declared the FSWP & CEC draws recently and focusing only on the PNP.
• On the other end, according to some interviews by the Canada Immigration Minister Mr. Sean Fresar, Canadian Immigration may start the FSWP & CEC draw from the sping.
• In the previous invitation round, the IRCC invited 919 PNP candidates with the CRS cut-off of 785 points.
• The latest CRS cut-off is three points lower than the last round. However, it has invited less number of candidates.

Last year until this time, the IRCC has invited 49,300+ candidates. However, for a number of reasons for that, such as

• On 13th February 2021, the IRCC declared a historic draw for the CEC category candidates. The draw has invited more than 27,000 candidates at a single time.
• The cut-off of the draw was just 75 points.
• Secondly, those draws were declared for all the categories like FSWP, FSTP, CEC, and PNP.
