QUEBEC DECLARES FIRST DRAW FOR SKILLED WORKER CANDIDATES
The Arrima System was launched in September 2018 to make Quebec immigration fast and before even completion of first year, on 28th June 2019, Quebec Immigration Minister has announced the probability of issuing the first Quebec Skilled Migrant Draw and within a week they have come across with their first round of invitations.
Candidates who submitted their Expression of Interest through Arrima Portal they will be began to receiving email notifications from the first week of July.
The applicants who will get an invitation need to have submit their complete application within 60 days of time for Quebec Selection Certificate (Certificat de sélection du Québec, or CSQ).
This first round of invitation has given the priority to those applicants who has fulfill the given below conditions.
- As per the Government of Quebec candidates who has a valid job offer from Quebec based employer. Or
- Who had their CSQs were terminated on 16th June 2019 and temporary residents of Quebec when they applied. Or
- Whom application of CSQ got terminated on 16th June 2019 and at the time they were working or studying in Quebec.
16th June 2019 is an important date because on the day Quebec Government has reformed the immigration laws and cancelled around 16,000 pending applications under the Quebec Skill Worker Program.
As per Quebec’s Immigration Ministry (MIDI) all the cancelled candidates who filed their application before Arrima portal launched may have wise chance to meet the specific labour market needs.
Applicants who meet the invitation criteria but not created their Arrima portal profile have a deadline of 16th December 2019 to submit their applications.
According to MIDI plenty of more invitations will be lined up in upcoming period from now to 16th January 2020.
